What Is WE Fest?
WE Fest is the largest country music and camping festival in the United States, held every August at Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. For four days, tens of thousands of country music fans come together for world-class performances, legendary camping, and the kind of good times that only happen in Minnesota lake country.
2026 Dates and Lineup
WE Fest 2026 runs August 5–8 at Soo Pass Ranch. The 2026 lineup is stacked with headliners including Lainey Wilson, Thomas Rhett, Brooks & Dunn, and Little Big Town. With a lineup like that, this is shaping up to be one of the biggest WE Fest years yet.
Camping at Soo Pass Ranch
Soo Pass Ranch has 10 campgrounds with a total capacity of 35,000 campers. There are options for every budget and comfort level:
- VIP Campgrounds — Premium sites closest to the main stage area with extra amenities
- Electric Sites — Powered sites that let you run your camper's AC, fridge, and other appliances all weekend
- Accessible Sites — ADA-compliant camping areas for guests who need them
- General Camping — Open camping areas for tents and smaller setups
Motorhomes, travel trailers, and campers are all allowed at WE Fest. If you're bringing a travel trailer, make sure you check the specific campground you're booked into for size restrictions and hookup availability.
Why Rent a Camper for WE Fest?
WE Fest in a tent is an experience. WE Fest in a camper is a *much better* experience. Here's why:
- Air conditioning — August in Minnesota can be hot and humid. A camper with AC means you actually sleep at night instead of sweating through your sleeping bag.
- A real kitchen — Cook your own meals, store cold drinks, make coffee in the morning. No more coolers full of melted ice.
- A real bathroom — Skip the porta-potty lines. Your own shower and toilet is a game-changer at a 4-day festival.
- Comfortable beds — After a long day of music and sun, a real mattress makes all the difference.
- Storage and security — Lock up your valuables, charge your phone, and keep your gear organized.
